STRESS ET RESPIRATION

"IT'S NOT THE STRESS THAT KILLS US BUT THE WAY WE WILL RESPOND TO IT" NAUDI AGUILAR - FUNCTIONAL PATTERN

We can set up 2 types of breathing. When we exert an effort or when we are stressed, we breathe in the thoracic and clavicular level . In contrast, when we are resting and relaxed , we breathe slower, more economically, and the movement is lower, in the abdomen.

Abdominal breathing causes movement of the diaphragm which is beneficial to the body. When the diaphragm is not used enough due to stress, anxiety and a lot of sitting positions at work, it becomes less efficient and atrophies. This is where postural problems begin to arise, the body adopts a posture of "defense": the shoulders roll up forward, pulling the head, the back rounds ... This will lead to imbalances and muscle weakness .

Functional exercises will be performed on the expiration . When you breathe out, the diaphragm rises and limits the intra-abdominal pressure . Paying close attention to the breath during these movements will prevent injury and reduce stress . An obvious well-being after the sessions will be felt!

Taking time for yourself and regaining control of your breathing is therefore essential!
