FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

"Learn to take care of your body and become flexible like a leopard" Dr Kelly Starett

Functional strength training will not work certain muscles in isolation but will instead involve the whole body through placement and breathing.

We are therefore looking for work that relies on deep, toned muscles, to obtain lasting power over the entire body. The work improves the general posture by movements which, most of the time, involve the pelvic girdle, the hips and the lower back. Functional training promotes better spine support and therefore prevents the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

This method proves its effectiveness on several points, first and not least, the optimal use of the body in daily tasks. Learning to properly place your spine in a stable, sheathed and solid position in each exercise during training will induce you to acquire movement patterns that you will use in everyday life. Indeed, the more we pay our attention to the placement of the body, the less stiffness, and consequently the pain, will come to settle and our movements will become flexible, ample and organized.
